Truth and Love

Christmas and the good life and the good society.

As another Christmas comes to a close, and superabundant consumerism and materialistic things disappear, so too can the meaning of Christmas’s historic celebration. Christmas is a time when people express their moral, ethical and spiritual beliefs; a commemorative holiday accentuated by the act of exchanging gifts with one and other. Historically, this gift giving is a token of mutual humility and respect, reflected through the divinity of truth and love; a time where people come together even from far off lands, in remembrance, celebration and furtherance of their greater purpose of good in the world; the creation of a beautiful flourishing society through the eyes of truth and love; an incredible social legacy of peace for generations to come.

It’s important to be aware of, and to remember, it was through the past lives of the great contributors to human society that their principals of truth and love created the legacy for our present and future generations to enjoy; of being able to co-exist with one and other in relative peace and safety in a law abiding civilized society.

Truth and love

Although Christmas appears on our calendar but once a year, it is a reminder that beyond our immediate needs and personal trials and tribulations, we have a greater mission to fulfill. When the realization dawns upon us that we too have been given the precious gift of life to contribute something of significance to that wonderful legacy left to us by our forefathers. So, that in order we may continue adding to this wonderful legacy of a good life and a good civilized society, truth and love must always be at the forefront of our thoughts and actions; thus allowing the greater purpose within us to change our course should we stray or wander into the realms of our own personal self wishes, desires and imaginings.

To be cognizant along our life’s journey that at times we will be fearful, anxious, unhappy, cajoled, bullied, tempted, together with a whole host of other negative emotional distractions that can have the power to influence and persuade us to alter our course of truth and love from our emerging good intentions.  To be mindful that in every thing we do or say is of a loving truthful nature contributing to the accumulated civilized values of the good world society our forefathers bequeathed to us. This is the legacy of Christmas; the realization and celebration that whatever we do and give to the world and the good society, it’s done with truth and love. And by having truth and love within us at all times, we can watch ourselves soar like doves of peace; not just at Christmas but all year round, this joy that benefits all mankind!
