Renewal of Vows
Renewal of vows is a reaffirmation of the vows and commitment publically declared on the couple’s wedding day, it is not a legal binding ceremony. It is an extended celebration of their love, commitment and everlasting happiness to one another. This ceremony is a chance for couples to celebrate already what they have accomplished and visualise the remainder of their lives together.
Renewal of vows can take place at any time and anywhere; on the arrival of their first child, on a special anniversary, or upon the couple having gone through a tough period. Its an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment and love to one another despite the hurdles they have had to overcome.
The couple can choose to re-enact their wedding day including the exchange of existing or new rings symbolizing their life commitment together and it can include any new children in the couple’s lives. The ceremony is an opportunity for you to incorporate new friends, have your children participate by doing a reading or a poem and invite friends or family members that were unable to be present on your initial wedding day.
